Heart of England Bike Show

Warwickshire Road Safety Unit appointed the M partnership to create, manage and promote a new road safety event for motorcyclists in 2009. We have since managed a larger event in 2010.

The aims of the event were to offer bikers a balanced mix of entertainment, features, exhibitors and traders, with the relaxed but focused promotion of responsible riding, rider education, training and assessment options in the county.

In May 2010, more than 4,500 visitors – 98% of whom were bikers – attended the event. More than 170 full licence holders completed guided ride-outs – most with Warwickshire BikeSafe. About 60 young and new riders took ‘hands on’ advice in the Try-Before-You-Buy Scooter Zone and the MCIA ‘Get On’ campaign signed up a further 50 new riders for a taster session, on road, with a local instructor. Representative bodies, registered charities and training schools all supported the event, as did body armour manufacturers, reputable clothing manufacturers, security specialists, insurers and retailers.

the M partnership handled everything from show documentation to show day, from PL insurance to PR and from big name brand support to BikeSafe prizes. Specialist skills such as operations management and photography were managed by us, but provided by our partners, whereas copy writing and press & media relations were kept in-house.
